According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the latest wave of attacks targeted air defense systems, missile launch sites, radar facilities, drone infrastructure, Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) naval assets, and other military installations. U.S. officials said the strikes were carried out in response to Iranian attacks and were intended to degrade Tehran’s military capabilities.
The latest operation follows an earlier round of strikes that hit more than 80 targets. Combined, U.S. officials say American forces have now struck around 170 targets across Iran over the last 48 hours.
Iran has responded with missile and drone attacks targeting U.S. military facilities in the Gulf, raising fears of a broader regional conflict. Independent verification of the full extent of damage and casualties on both sides remains limited.
The latest exchange marks a significant escalation in the confrontation between Washington and Tehran, with concerns growing that continued military action could further destabilize the Middle East.
